The Writer
Julie’s parents were larger than life people, both great yarners and hospitable in the extreme. They brought into her life a whole cast of exotic people who told stories in their turn. Story-telling was always going to be in her blood. One of her earliest forays into the world of language was as a researcher at Sydney University, tracking down Australian words for the very first Macquarie Dictionary. more>
The Artist
Julie Kearney is an artist and printmaker living and working in Brookfield whose rural environment, its creeks and hills, birds and wildlife, often form the subject of her work. Her work has been selected by the Print Council of Australia to produce a limited edition of works for their Archival Collection and is held in public collections throughout Australia and internationally. more >
